No, this is not another episode of the beloved TV series, Lost. Losing a phone can happen at anytime. While out for a walk on the beach over Christmas weekend, I discovered a lonely cell phone sitting on a log.
Slightly sandy and still charged, I made the call to the last dialed number. A woman answered and conversed rather rudely as if our interaction was a common occurrence. ”Ok, I’ll call the owner”, said the woman in a gruff tone. She expressed her appreciation with a brief short “Thanks” and hung up the phone.
Minutes later, two women come jogging up. The frenzied, out of breath cell phones owner panted, “Oh, thank you. I had no clue my phone was lost.”
Phone Halo could have saved this woman the trouble and worry of losing her phone. If she waited another hour, the ocean would have claimed her cell phone with the rising tide.
