I have a relative who is the master of losing things. Let’s call him John. You would think that after nearly 25 years of working at the same company and going through the same daily routine, remembering your keys, wallet, and work badge would be… well, routine! However, although an intelligent and sharp individual, John will often make the silly mistake of placing his items where he will forget them. When misplacing an essential item, this will cause a domino effect. When John can’t find his keys, he will:
Not only will John be late and lose hours at work, but he will also lose pay for those hours and have to spend money on his own gas, as opposed to splitting the cost with carpooling.
As you can see, losing items such as keys, phones, and wallets happens to the best of us; however, when losing these necessities begins to affect our daily commitments, then a small problem may quickly turn into a financial loss.
Here, we add up John’s loss in time, as well as loss in money. John generally misplaces one of his items around once a week. Let’s say John has a good full-time job and makes $30/hour:
| Activity | Loss | Loss in cash |
|---|---|---|
| Searching for keys; finally getting out the door | 30 minutes | - $15 |
| Driving self to work, round-trip gas money | 100 mile trip (20 mpg, $3.50/gallon) | - $17.50 |
| Heading out late and getting stuck in traffic | 30 minutes | - $15 |
| Grand Total | $47.50 per week | $2,470.00 per year |
At the very minimum, John will already lose $47.50 by misplacing an item in one day. When this occurs regularly every week, John will lose a total of $2,470 a year. Multiply that by the 25 years that John has worked at the company, and that’s a whopping $61,750! That’s a huge loss for a very simple problem.
Simply put, with Phone Halo, John will never lose an item or all that cash again. It can happen to the best of us, and to the best of us, Phone Halo is your savior.
