Texting in Bed

mobile phone tracker

About to go to bed? Getting in those last couple texts, responding to a late night email from work, or your friend’s drunken post on your wall? You know you could wait until the morning (probably a mere 6 hours later), I bet your Facebook page wouldn’t change much between now and then. And there’s nothing you can do about that work email now; you’ll end up dealing with whatever it is tomorrow anyway. That girl you met last weekend can wait until the morning too– you know it’ll look a lot classier to text her during daylight hours.

You could rationalize why NOT to text in bed tonight, but at the end of the day you love it. It’s comforting to have your phone next to your bed, available whenever you want to unlock it. There’s nothing worse than reaching for your phone on your bedside table (…or under your pillow) and realizing it’s not there.

So you start retracing your steps that landed you in your bed through closed eyelids. Okay…I had a couple beers at the bar in town, got that girl’s number, slipped my phone into my coat pocket. It was getting late, I hopped a cab… Did I make any calls in the cab? No, but I did check my Facebook, and Tweet that I was headed home. Paid the cab driver, tripped on the curb… and now somehow I’m in my bed. Damn. No phone, no email, no internet. Phone Halo? Check.

Phone Halo – 1, Beers – 0.
