Mobile hardware vs mobile software

Mobile hardware vs. mobile software

This was my first computer, it the antithesis of the chic mobile hardware available today.

1995 Packard Bell | mobile software, mobile tracker, mobile phone tracker

1995 Packard Bell

I don’t remember the hardware, but the software left me with a vivid experience of the digital world. The further we are removed from dealing with hardware and devices and the more we can be immersed in a software world, the richer experience we have.

Packard Bell Navigator | mobile software, mobile tracker, mobile phone tracker

Packard Bell Navigator 3.5

The only lasting impression I have of hardware is the sound the computer made when rebooted. Using Packard Bell Navigator 3.5 was vivid experience where I was able to live inside a virtual house, play games and browse the internet. Software allows you to experience the world in a different way.

What will we remember in 10 years when we think of the gadgets we use on a daily basis? The iPhone 4.0 has great new hardware features. I think the hardware novelty will be lost in the experience of the next wave of software adding real value to one’s daily life and displaying rich content. At Phone Halo, we enhance your experience and interaction with your stuff by connecting your stuff keys, bags, stuff, to software.

The age of novelty apps is over because consumers know what is available to them. It is our job as developers to give our customers useful mobile software that stretch beyond the standard.
