iPhone 3GS vs. HTC Evo 4G

Let’s face it; the iPhone is king/queen of the casual smartphone domain. Blackberry and friends may run the business world, but the Apple’s iPhone has always set a certain standard. Is there any chance to dethrone it? Maybe. The super sexy HTC Evo 4G has now officially stepped into the ring. At a height of 4.8″ and weighing in at “oh my god that’s cool,” Sprint’s shiniest Android assassin looks poised to pounce on the rest of the competition. But what are the stats?

"Your daddy must have been a photographer because you uh, have two cameras?"

So, the Evo is sufficiently stepping all over the iPhone’s lackluster year-old specifications, but other phones have done that before too. Unfortunately for them, the iPhone still reigns supreme. Why? The iPhone has about two things going for it: it’s Apple and it’s sexy (those two might be the same thing, not sure). What’s interesting is that the Evo has that too.

And with that sex factor, the Evo also has the brains to back it up. It’s not perfect though. The battery life is not too great because of how powerful it is and it’s landlocked to Sprint, but that pales in comparison to what’s right about this phone. With the mysterious iPhone 4G looming on the horizon as well though, who knows what’s in store for the smartphone market?
