As a partner, investor, and owner of a Phone Halo device, I’m often asked, Why Phone Halo?
The simplest answer is that it works in preventing loss and misplacement – something we all experience at one time or another. The fact is that we are all losers. That’s right folks, we’re all losers, every single one of us is a loser. And Phone Halo automatically, seamlessly turns losers into winners. Or at the very least prevents loss and misplacement for good.
The reality is that even misplacing your keys can cost you precious time. Often, it’s those few minutes that cause you to be late for a meeting. Or it’s the time and cost of replacing a phone or wallet, each containing sensitive, valuable information. With Phone Halo, you’re not just getting peace of mind, you’re getting a “Halo” of protection around your valuables. It’s real protection. I’ve been involved in many companies before Phone Halo as an investor, founder, and partner/owner. To see the results of your hard work and investment sometimes takes months or years. With Phone Halo, we see people’s eyes light up. We see a concerned mother’s sense of relief that she can use Phone Halo to keep track of her kids at a busy shopping mall or grocery store. We see the busy business traveler’s reaction knowing Phone Halo can keep their phone and wallet with them at all times.

That alone was a compelling reason to get involved with Phone Halo. At the time, the business was called ProFound. Part of my contribution was to help communicate the value and the purpose of the product in the simplest of ways. As a team, we have taken a brilliant and simple concept and turned it into a viable company that truly prevents loss and misplacement.
Working with engineers that talk, think, and act like engineers is, well, at times, difficult. It’s also so refreshing that they see the world in wireless waves, and chip sets. Connecting the dots between the engineering world and the business opportunity has been a fantastic voyage for me and my fellow partners. We have achieved so much in such a short time. The partners we have attracted are indicative of our attention to detail, and willingness to listen to leaders in our ecosystems. We’ve only just begun.
